Deadlatches offer flexible control and can be used in conjunction with electric strikes to provide the added option of remote access control. Designed to operate on doors with 3mm door gaps.
The deadlatch is designed to be used with various exit trim, such as a paddle handle. When the handle is operated the latch bolt will retract thereby allowing the door to be opened. However, the “dead latching" facility means that when the door is closed, nothing can be inserted into the gap between the door and frame to force the latch bolt and thereby allow unauthorised entry.
