Description

Rim Mortice Deadlatches

Deadlatches offer flexible control and can be used in conjunction with electric strikes to provide the added option of remote access control.

The deadlatch is designed to be used with various exit trim, such as a paddle handle. When the handle is operated the latch bolt will retract thereby allowing the door to be opened.

However, the “dead latching" facility means that when the door is closed, nothing can be inserted into the gap between the door and frame to force the latch bolt and thereby allow unauthorised entry.

Features:

  • Deadlatches accept a standard screw-in 1 5/32" mortice cylinder (cylinder not included).
  • Designed to operate on doors with 3mm door gaps.
  • Industry standard ANSI cutouts.
  • Euro Profile cylinder option available (see below).
  • Latch is automatically deadlocked when door is in the closed position
  • Latch holdback facility.
  • Non-handed cam plugs. Reversible, suitable for both left and right handed doors
  • Faceplate finish SAA (sold separately).
  • Satin anodised aluminium.
  • For use on aluminium and steel doors.
  • 12.7mm latch throw.

Handing of doors for locks (the description of swinging door operation is always viewed from the outside):

  • LH - door hinges on the left.
  • RH - door hinges on the right.
